Volunteers are the heart of the Upper Greenwood Lake Property Owners Association! Currently there are FOUR open seats. And most critical, is the open seat of TREASURER! Are you good at budgeting? We need someone with basic finance skills to oversee our financials and work with the board on developing and managing budgets. You don’t need to be an accountant! What you will not need to do is the day-to-day bookkeeping or the annual tax returns. These are handled by our office administrator and accounting firm. The treasurer position is an oversight role. Do you have experience managing a family or work budget? Helping make sure we stay within budget and manage our cash flow is important and can be very fulfilling helping your community. The board can appoint interested volunteers to the open seats as long as you have been a POA member in good standing for at least one year. What is expected of a Board Trustee, you may wonder? Attend the monthly board meeting on the second Tuesday of every month. Trustees are expected to chair/co-chair a committee or hold an officer position. Currently, meetings are done over Zoom. In addition to our monthly meetings we hold three public meetings and committee meetings take place as needed. Are you considering it? If you have any interest at all, please contact the UGLPOA office via email with your interest and qualifications or if you have any questions. Office@UGLPOA.com Tanya can answer many of the questions you may have and can also have a current board trustee reach out and speak with you to help in making a decision. “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” — Winston Churchill |
